Thanks Manu,
I'm afraid I am going to have to hit the "Bench" soon as I am running out of fresh material to post.
Have a good day,

Rick

After further "digging" I have found a few more images to post up...the first is a ROCO Kubelwagen that I detailed to make it appear a little more realistic. The folded soft top is a little limp and I have gotten better at it after this first attempt, several years ago.

Thank you all for your interesting comments on my little work horses. I also have the later version of this model with a wooden cabin. It is produced with a tarpaulin but I will probably go with tissue paper tarps as it does add a more realistic appearance. :smoke:

They are 4, but they are all different. Great job on the tarpaulin.

Thanks Eddy, you have "nailed" it. It is for this reason that I will continue to make tissue paper tarps...it allows me to be creative and at the same time it individualizes each vehicle enough to give it its own identity. :old-5ab:

Here is one I had to modify as there was no version available in the 75mm anti-tank role. It is the Trident SdKfz. 251 D /22. It was a fun little project but I discovered later on that the Technical department at Trident did not research this vehicle properly and the width of the vehicle is actually a scale 305mm (12") too narrow. Also, the front tires were too small in diameter. I was able to address the tire situation by easily replacing the original kit tires with some resin parts cast by my friend Paul Heiser of Lakewood Military Models. At some point I shall have to tear it down and correct the width of this model, until then enjoy...

Jolie peinture de camouflage.
C’est l’ancêtre du canon CAESAR…

Pas vraiment le CAESAR est plus un dérivé d’un canon automoteur alors que sur ce semi-chenillé c’est plus un anti-tank. Pas le même usage.

I am digging very deep.... this model of the infantry assault gun on the Mk. III chassis is the second model I built some 40 years ago when I first got interested in doing fine detail work and accurate painting on my collection of ROCO Minitanks. I acquired this model when I was 14 or 15 years old. It is a little crude by todays standards but with enough lipstick even a "Pig" becomes beautiful!! ;-)

The improvements include the front applique armor, close defense weapon, cupola/hatch rebuild, front towing eyes, mg 42 and gun shield added and it is a command vehicle, hence the second antenna.

Thank You friends for the nice remarks on this little achievement...After I finished it, I knew I could do better and pressed on with more enthusiasm than before. Looking at it now I can find many faults...mainly because I did not have all the references that I now enjoy and can study to improve my model creations. The next model is an example of the extent to which one can go to achieve that last little bit of realistic detail. Open top Military vehicles are begging for details because there is so much open space visible to the eye. Here is my effort to fill the VOID....

Hello Manu, this vehicle was called Nashorn or Rinosorus. It's intended purpose was anti tank self propelled gun.
ROCO did a fine job in producing the base model which allowed me to focus on the "details".
